Congratulations to Braxton Foushee, Town Treasure, on receiving the highest civilian honor in North Carolina: The Order of the Long Leaf Pine!

This week, Town Council adopted the Downtown Area Plan (6-1 vote), reaffirmed its position as a 4th Amendment Workplace, and addressed other business in a 4+ hour-long meeting.

The Town of Carrboro seeks volunteers to serve on a variety of Advisory Boards and Commissions. Climate, housing, transportation, and recreation are just some of the areas these boards will serve. If you have ideas, here's a chance to do something with them.

Recycling event tomorrow: Dennis Carter is back at Carrboro Plaza tomorrow (Saturday) morning from 9 - 11 recycling Anything with a Plug. Check out his website for what he can and cannot accept.

On "The Carrborean Radio Hour" on WCOM 103.5 FM: Chaniya Tingley, host of ctrl+alt+art, interviewed the band, .memoria. We are working on a way to share show recordings with you. Tune in Monday at 4pm for our next show. Michael Melton will interview Tim Schwarzauer, manager of Dingo Dog Brewing Company, which is celebrating its 10th birthday tomorrow with festivities at its location on 410 North Greensboro Street from 2 - 10pm. Please note: The Carrborean will not have a pop-up newsroom after "The Carrborean Radio Hour" this week. We will resume that engagement the following week (12/1).
