Food drives: Host your own food drive to benefit local food pantries.

Those in need can find food at sites in Orange County. The Town of Carrboro reported that the Orange County Board of Commissioners approved a transfer of funds from its Social Justice Reserve to support organizations providing food, including IFC, TABLE, and PORCH in Carrboro. Each organization also accepts donations on their websites.

The first clinic is Saturday, February 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Orange County Animal Services (1601 Eubanks Road, Chapel Hill). Free DA2PPV/FVRCP vaccines will be available, along with $10 rabies vaccines and $35 microchips. More low-cost clinics are scheduled throughout 2026. Visit www.orangecountync.gov/308/Low-Cost-Clinics
