Sasha Bakaric: My new work is inspired by the colors of the tropics. For a while, my work was inspired by the patterns of the microworld, using dark gray to create neutral backgrounds. A recent trip to the Caribbean—with its explosion of mesmerizing colors—shifted my perspective. In a world that has felt dark and heavy, these colors served as a reminder to return my attention to the beauty of nature. I work with stoneware clay coated with colored slips, sgraffito, and a variety of glazes to build intricate surfaces. All pieces are fired in an electric kiln and are fully functional.

Shelly Hehenberger: I am showcasing my latest group of small paintings that I call Shroomscapes, as they are loose visions that I have perceived within the realm of fungi and other cooperative organisms. My goal is to interpret that biome as a place of continuous, shared positive energy. I will also showcase my memoir and other books.
