The free October print issue is available at many locations around town. The print issue has some different content from the website, including a West End Poetry Festival preview, The Gallery Place, games, and more so you'll want to get your own. If you don't want to hunt for one around town, you can sign up for a paid subscription to get it delivered or mailed to you, or to be able to download the full pdf file. Thank you to our advertisers and subscribers for making the print issues possible!

This week online: Interview with Suzanne Tormollen, TABLE's Director of Marketing about TABLE's 13th annual Empty Bowls fundraiser this Sunday, October 5, from 3 - 6pm. And The Carrborean's Election Survey results, which also appear in the print issue.

Amplifying news from Town: If you don't receive the Town's weekly updates in your inbox, you can sign up for them. There is a lot of good info in those updates, including, this week:

--Advice to plant milkweed to support monarch butterflies (there are free seeds for you at the Carrboro Farmers' Market tomorrow morning). Did you know that Mayor Foushee signed the National Wildlife Federation's Mayors' Monarch Pledge?

--Lights Out Campaign for migrating birds: "Join the Lights Out initiative in Carrboro to protect these migratory birds by turning off unnecessary outdoor lights from 11 p.m. - 6 a.m. this fall through November 30, 2025. Millions of birds navigate by starlight at night. Unfortunately, bright city lights can disorient them, leading to dangerous collisions. Together, we can make a difference by protecting migratory birds and saving energy at the same time!"

--Voting Information from Orange County
