New national approval for the COVID-19 vaccine and availability in Carrboro pharmacies
On Sunday, October 5, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced the approval of recommendations made at the meeting of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices on September 19, including COVID-19 vaccines. This approval "should allow people, 6 months and older, who want a COVID-19 vaccine to get one" according to the Common Health Coalition.
