Early voting begins on Thursday, Feb. 12, and runs through Saturday, Feb. 28. Orange County residents can vote at any early voting site. Polls will be open: Weekdays from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Closed Feb. 15) Sundays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. (Closed Feb. 21) Learn more about early voting: www.orangecountync.gov/Elections

Food drives: Host your own food drive to benefit local food pantries.

Those in need can find food at sites in Orange County. The Town of Carrboro reported that the Orange County Board of Commissioners approved a transfer of funds from its Social Justice Reserve to support organizations providing food, including IFC, TABLE, and PORCH in Carrboro.
